Real Estate - Managing Associate (Head of Dept) - UK Law Firm Bucharest Legal vacancy

Our client, a prestigious UK law firm, wishes to appoint a Senior or Managing Associate, a lawyer specialising in Real Estate who will take charge of the firm's large Real Estate Department. A qualified Romanian advocate of between 5 to 9 years of PQE is preferred. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of four years of strict, solid commercial property law experience (gained at either an international law firm or at a reputable Bucharest firm's Real Estate department) plus some additional corporate/commercial law experience.
Candidates with a minimum of four years experience as an in-house counsel in an international property development company are also very welcome.
Knowledge of commercial leasing, acquisitions and related finance plus construction law and related litigation is expected.
Fully fluent English plus excellent English language conveyancing skills are essential, while French or Spanish language skills would be an added advantage. Compensation will be dependent entirely on experience, but is envisaged at US$6K to 12K per month. The firm also pays a substantial annual bonus.Excellent prospects of lock-step equity partnership for the ideal candidate.

Our Client now wishes to appoint an Associate or a Senior Associate who specialises in Competition/Anti-Monopoly and EU law plus is experienced in some related commercial litigation. An ambitious Romanian lawyer with up to six years' post Bar admission experience is sought for this urgent vacancy; (it is essential that you have a minimum of three years of solid Competition experience!). The successful candidate will work directly under the the supervision of a Partner who is an internationally recognised top-ranked Romanian expert in Competition-EU and Energy matters. Hence, the ideal applicant will be a lawyer who is motivated to develop his/her own professional reputation in Bucharest as a specialist in this field of practice. The ideal candidate will have completed some postgraduate studies relevant to his/her area of practice, such as a Diploma in EU/Competition Law or some PhD studies (but not essential).
