Capital Markets - Junior to Mid-level Associates - UK International Law Firm
Our client, a prestigious UK law firm, wishes to expand its Capital Markets team by appointing an Associate as well as up to two junior lawyers specialising, or wishing to specialise, in Capital Markets. A freshly qualified radca prawny is preferred for the Associate vacancy, while a non-qualified lawyer with between three to five years experience in securities/ICMs is welcome to apply for the junior positions. The ideal candidates will currently be working in either a US or a UK international law firm or one of the top 10 Polish law firms in Warsaw. Fluent English language is essential. Previous B&F/Capital Markets experience gained during a secondment to the London office of an international law firm or a LLM degree obtained in the US or UK will be an advantage for the Associate position, but is not essential.
Compensation will be entirely dependent on experience, and this Client has some of the top compensation rates in Warsaw. The firm frequently provides further training by way of a secondment to its London office.
Competition - EU antitrust - Specialist Lawyer - UK ILF - Warsaw Legal vacancy
A first tier UK law firm, part of London's Magic Circle, wishes to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate who specialises in Competition/Anti-Monopoly and EU law plus related commercial litigation. An ambitious Polish lawyer in her/his final year of Bar training up to two years' post Bar admission experience is sought for this urgent vacancy. The successful candidate will work directly under the the supervision of a Partner who is an internationally recognised top-ranked Polish expert in Competition-EU matters. Hence, the ideal applicant will be a lawyer who is motivated to develop his/her own professional reputation in Warsaw as a specialist in this field of practice. The ideal candidate will have completed some postgraduate studies relevant to his/her area of practice, such as a Diploma in EU/Competition Law or some PhD studies (but not essential). Obviously, fully fluent English is an absolute pre-requisite for this position. Compensation depends on level of experience, but is envisaged at between PLN 15K to PLN35K per month, plus an annual bonus.

Our client's preference is for a Polish qualified lawyer (a foreign LLM will be an advantage) with experience at another prominent international law firm. In-house Lawyer - Structured/Project Finance - EI Bank - Luxembourg Legal Vacancy
The EIB, as the Bank of the EU, is seeking to recruit for its General Secretariat and Legal Affairs Legal Department, (Operations - Western Europe and Baltic Sea Division) at its headquarters in Luxembourg a Structured Finance/Project Finance Polish lawyer.
The successful candidate will assist the Head of Department and Head of Division. S/he will provide, together with other legal advisers, legal support to the relevant operational services.
The lawyer will perform tasks related to all of the Division's responsibilities and work independently on structured finance operations, in particular, with relation to Polish projects. S/he will draw up, as necessary, reports on completed transactions and prepare his/her own proposals when consulted on fundamental or unusual issues. S/he will:
? Create the legal framework for financing operations and guarantees, notably structured finance and project finance (drafting, advisory support, conclusion of contracts and completion of all related legal formalities) and monitor them from a legal viewpoint
? Manage high-level contacts and negotiations
? Liaise where necessary with external consultants, supervise their work
? Complete the administrative formalities vis-a-vis clients (public institutions and private enterprises)
? Undertake research and conduct legal studies on problems of law arising in connection with the Bank's operations and in the context of developing new financial instruments
The candidates should preferably be qualified in Polish law and also in common law. In the absence of one of these qualifications they should have substantial experience with an international law firm.
? Minimum five years' professional experience, notably in the field of structured financing and project financing in a law firm of international repute or a financial institution
? Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English or French and good command of the other language. Knowledge of Polish and another language of the EU would be an asset
? Familiarity with standard IT tools
? Ability to analyse, summarise and solve problems
? Ability to develop innovative legal solutions
? Ability to draft documents promptly
? Good interpersonal and negotiating skills
? Ability to argue convincingly and achieve a consensus among colleagues and third parties on official legal matters
? Team player
? Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise (meet deadlines)
